Hello,
I created a Cloudstation folder for an organization (Folder "A"). Originally this folder was meant for the board. Now the CEO wants a user to be able to sync just a specific subfolder ("X") within folder "A". If possible we do not want to create a separate folder outside of folder "A". Will one of the two next things do? Or is there another solution for this?
Option 1, my preferred if it works:
If I deny the user access to the other subfolders in folder "A", except for folder "X", will only folder "X" be synced?
Option 2:
Create a new Cloudstation Folder for folder "X" within cloudstation folder "A" and allow the user within the Cloudstation application permissions only for Cloudstation folder "X"

Option 3 (much easier). Use DSM 5.0 and its client. There, you can on the client side select which folders are synchronised and which not. (The root is always synchronised)

Wow, Hadn't seen that!!! That's exactly what I need!!! What will happen if the user does select a subfolder in this list on which he has no rights? Will the content be synchronized and will it be accessible? Because I don't want that to happen.
PS off topic: en ik had even niet in de gaten dat dit het NL-forum was, vandaar in het Engels, sorry!)

I tested it... And if the user chooses a folder on which he has no rights (tested through Filestation), the folder still gets synchronized and the data is accessible afterwards on the local machine. Because it's a board and management folder, there is sensitive information in some subfolders which shouln't be accessible. So only the specific folder "X" should be available...
