Hi,

I am facing crashes from my Linksys router since I connected my Synology DS212 NAS which I bought recently. The linksys router (model WRT54G) crashes almost daily when the NAS is running. Initially I expected it tom be a router issue, however after replacing the router with another linksys router model (WRT54GS) the router still crashes. I upgraded the NAS DSM software from version 3.5 to 4.0.

Is anybody experiencing also router crashes and is there any solution out there to solve this.

Hi Bram

what you mentioned by crashes, does it reboots or is you NAS unavailable? Do you have a static assigned ip for the NAS?

What tasks do you let your NAS perform? For instance torrents are famous for making some routers crash, and I think the WRT54G-series is one of them...
