Hallo,

The possible reasons that cause the STATUS LED to flash in orange are:
No hard drives are installed (Will flash orange/green).
The system firmware has not been installed yet.
A volume has not been created yet.
The volume is in degraded mode.
The volume has crashed.
Please follow the steps below to fix this issue.
If no hard drives are installed:
Solution: Refer to the Quick Installation Guide and install the hard drives.
If the system firmware has not been installed yet:
Solution: Install the system firmware using the Synology Assistant. Double-click on your Synology product and follow the wizard to complete the setup.
If a volume has not been created yet:
Solution: To create a volume, log in to the system management UI (http://serverIP:5000 (http://serverIP:5000)). Go to the "Storage > Volume" page to create a volume.
If the volume is in degraded mode:
Solution: To repair the degraded volume, log in to the system management UI (http://serverIP:5000 (http://serverIP:5000)).
For a RAID 1 or RAID 5 volume, find out which disk has been degraded by going to the "System > Status" page, and replace it with a new one. After the new hard disk has been inserted, repair the degraded volume by pressing the "Repair" button on the Volume page.
If the volume has crashed:
Do NOT touch or change anything on the system and please submit a Support Form.
