HD vervangen in cubestation

Ik ben perfect geholpen door Bjorn van MHD die een defecte schijf (garantie) heeft vervangen.

Deze kreeg ik per post vandaag.

Nu heb ik deze in de CS gestopt maar zie ik dat mijn raid5 configuratie degraded is en zie ik de 4de disk niet in het overzicht. Wat moet ik doen om deze disk te laten zien en weer te laten syncen in de configuratie??

In principe moet die disk meteen zichtbaar zijn en kan je daarmee je raid-5 array repareren.
Heb je telnet/SSH toegang tot je syno? Zo ja, kan je dan eens de output van het volgende commando hier posten:

dmesg
En ook van de volgende commando's:

dmesg | grep "sda"
dmesg | grep "sdb"
dmesg | grep "sdc"
dmesg | grep "sdd"

En als laatste van het volgende commando:

mdadm --query --detail /dev/md2

Controleer voor de zekerheid ook nog even de kabels... je weet maar nooit :-)

Telnet / SSH kom ik er niet op. Krijg de melding dat de host de verbinding dichtgooit.

Hi Kris,

Voor Telnet / SSH moet je een "firmware-update" uitvoeren. Die kun je hier downloaden: http://www.synology.com/enu/support/download.php#Patches In principe kun je dat zonder gevaar voor je RAID set doen.

Enne oh ja.....Als je toegang hebt na de update en je wil de commando's van Maarten invoeren? Log dan in de Telnet sessie in als root. Als je dat niet doet krijg je geen output. Tis maar dat je het weet :wink:

Okay, had hij er maar bijgezegd dat ik een firmware update diende uit te voeren. :)

Verder, wat is het password van de root? Is dat hetzelfde van admin? Ik dacht het niet....

Heb misschien wel wat dingen dubbel geplakt, maar niet alle output ging telkens mee in het clipboard.
Ik haal er zelf uit de de nieuwe HD niet herkend wordt. Had zelfs een paar keer de HD omgewisseld met een andere stekker, maar toen was ik bijv. disk 3 kwijt....

Je mist inderdaad één disk (welke uberhaubt niet gedetecteerd wordt)
Heb je de mogelijkheid die nieuwe disk te testen in een normale PC?
Wil nog niet gaan doemdenken, maar misschien is de sata poort stuk van je cubestation?

Hmm, ik ben net verhuisd en heb een setje oude pc's net gedumpt....

Nee dus... Satapoort, betekent dat dan dat elke disk die op die stekker zit niet zou werken?
Ik had al eens omgewisseld en enkel het disknummer veranderd dan.

Ik zag op het testrapport van MHD dat de disk die ik had opgestuurd stuk was (Robbin tekende af). Of zou men per ongeluk dan mijn kapotte disk teruggestuurd hebben?

Ik tast nu even in het duister, kan ik onderzoeken of het aan een sata poort ligt, en hoe dan?

Ik was even met vakantie, maar geen reacties meer.

Hoe weet ik of de satapoort stuk is, hoe weet ik of de nieuwe geleverde schijf goed is?

Misschien moet ik maar even weer met MHD contact opnemen, want die hebben de HD opgestuurd.
