Het lijkt erop dat mijn trouwe WD60EFRX disks nu echt niet langer leverbaar zijn... Wat is een geschikte vervanger?
Zowel de WD60EFAX als WD60EFZX zijn SMR drives.

Dat lijkt inderdaad... Ik ging uit van de cache size (groter dan 64Mb dus SMR).

Cache size zegt niets over hoe de data op de platters gezet wordt.

Toevallig dezer dagen voor een organisatie ook twee NAS'sen (laten) bestellen.
M.b.t. WD Red schijven, naar aanleiding van pakweg anderhalf / twee jaar terug de discrepanties in die schijven.
Western Digital heeft een onderscheid gemaakt in de type benaming voor CMS schijven, door de toevoeging   "Plus"   achter de naam Red.
