Update voor DS110j (5.2)

tot mijn aangename verassing krijgt mijn DS110j vandaag een update: 5.2-5967, update 5!

Hier wordt o.a. de WPA2 kwetsbaarheid ("KRACK") aangepakt.

DS918+ -> 4x 4TB in RAID5 met 4Gbyte RAM extra (DSM7.2, backup systeem voor PC's)
DS218+ -> 2x 8TB met 4Gbyte RAM extra (DSM 7.2, Mailplus server en client + OpenVPN server)
DS220j -> 1x 8TB + 3TB (DSM7.2)
DS214+ -> 2x 6TB (DSM7.1.1)
DS120j -> 1x 6TB (DSM7.2, off-site backup)

Syno is goed bezig: DSM 5.2-5967 Update 6 is uit voor mij oude 110j! (geen reboot gevraagd, maar kan nooit kwaad)

Hmz.. hier niet, heb zelf de reboot maar uitgevoerd...

En net wat je eerder al aangaf: Daarom dus Synology!!
NAS is al een paar jaar oud, maar de updates zijn er nog...

Misschien is het op mijn type nas anders. Ik ga het meemaken. Ik moet alleen even een geschikt moment inplannen.

Na iedere update kan een reboot nooit kwaad dacht ik zo...
Laatste was in 3 minuten geregeld (afhankelijk van je downstream snelheid)

Klopt. Heb net de update gedaan ZONDER een noodzakelijke reboot. Ik ga het met de hand nog even rebooten
Mooi hè, dat na zoveel jaar er nog steeds werk wordt gemaakt van het updaten van het product? Daar kan menig ander fabrikant een puntje aan zuigen. Het wordt tijd voor de opvolger van mijn 1511+, dat dan weer wel.

Als er goede support is, ook jaren na 'discontinued' dan doe je in ieder geval je best het product veilig online te houden.
Heb nu naast de 110j een 216j en kijk met een half-scheef oog al naar een 4-bay NAS. Uiteraard Synology!
