Die uitleg slaat nergens op, of je hebt de vraag niet goed gesteld of ze snappen het gewoon niet.

concerning the new update to DSM 7.3

In the releasenotes I found this:
To ensure optimal stability, the models listed below will not receive this update on your device and will remain on their most suitable version. You can only download the upgrade patch from Synology Download Center because you won't receive notifications for this update on your DSM.

My NAS is a DS918+
I don't understand the release notes.  Is it better to stay at version 7.2 or better to update to 7.3 ?

Why I don't receive the update like usual and can it only be installed by downloading it from the Synology website?

If the new version is not good enough for DS918+ why do you offer it to upgrade?  And if it's good enough, why not via the normal way?

Please explain.

Ik moet zeggen, het is wat onduidelijk allemaal zo. Communicatie kan beter. Ook qua HDD compatibiliteit. Nu is er geen enkele third party disk in de compat lijst te vinden, , als je bijv. WD red gebruikt krijg je nu ook geheel geen melding meer op de nas dat je een niet geverifieerde disk gebruikt o.i.d.. Dan lijkt het dus volledig supported.

Dat is niet waar tenzij je het hebt over alleen de 2025 NASsen. ;)

Ha, ja, dat bedoelde ik inderdaad ;) is een dsm 7.3 draadje, niet een x25+ model draadje.
